Case study · Ironmere Cyber Name changed for privacy reasons

From page ten to the top 5 for cybersecurity searches in nine months

Ironmere Cyber provides managed security and compliance support. Its website described its work in general terms, and few other sites mentioned the firm. We built pages around the compliance frameworks buyers search for, published articles written with its engineers and placed its experts in security publications. Its average Google position across priority searches went from 94 to 5 in nine months.

The challenge

Buyers of security services search by the problem and the standard they need to meet: a framework such as HIPAA or SOC 2, an audit date, an incident. Ironmere's website described its services in general terms and named few of those.

It also had little authority. Few industry sites mentioned the firm, and none of its engineers appeared as authors. Across its priority searches, its average position was 94, on page ten.

Security buyers also check who stands behind the advice. With no named experts and few outside mentions, neither Google nor AI tools had a reason to treat Ironmere as an authority on the standards it works with every day.

What we did

Compliance and service pages

A page for each framework and service buyers search for, explaining what Ironmere does, what the client has to do and how long it takes.

Author pages

A page for each engineer with certifications, experience and published work, linked from every article they wrote.

Expert articles

Monthly interviews with Ironmere's engineers turned into articles on audits, incidents and the questions buyers ask before they call, each with a named author.

Digital PR

Commentary and guest articles placed in security and industry publications, and listings on the directories buyers and AI tools check.

Technical fixes

Crawling and indexing errors fixed, pages made faster, and every service linked from the pages with the most authority.

AI answer checks

A monthly check of the questions buyers ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews, recording which sources the answers cite and where Ironmere is missing.

Ironmere moved from page ten to the top 5 for its priority searches in nine months. The first two months were slow while Google indexed the compliance and author pages, and the climb was steady from month three as the articles and publication mentions added up. Framework searches such as SOC 2 and CMMC now average positions between 3 and 5.
